SMS consent & preferences

Loop (operated by The Lux Agency, LLC) sends text messages on behalf of Businesses that subscribe to Loop. This page explains how consent works, what messages you may receive, and how to manage your preferences. SMS messaging is rolled out per-Business; you will only receive texts from a Business you have given consent to.

1. What messages we send

  • Transactional / account: referral confirmations, in-store cash balance updates, redemption receipts, security alerts, password resets. These are tied to your activity with a specific Business.
  • Program reminders: e.g., "your balance expires soon," "your friend just visited and you earned $X."
  • Marketing (only if you opt in): promotions, new offers, and product news from the Business.

Message frequency varies based on your activity with the Business.

2. How you give consent

You opt in to SMS in one of these ways:

  • Checking an SMS opt-in box on a Business's intake form, online booking, or referral landing page.
  • Replying START or YES to a confirmation text.
  • Signing the Business's written consent form in person and providing your mobile number.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may receive Loop's services without opting in to SMS — you can use email instead.

3. How to opt out (STOP)

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message from Loop. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further texts from that Business through Loop. To opt back in later, reply STARTor re-enroll with the Business.

4. How to get help (HELP)

5. Carriers, fees, and delivery

  • Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan.
  • Supported carriers include the major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • All U.S. SMS traffic from Loop runs over A2P 10DLC registered campaigns in compliance with CTIA guidelines.

6. Your mobile number and privacy

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent records collected through Loop are not shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are shared only with the SMS aggregator strictly to deliver the messages you have consented to. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Managing your preferences

  • Stop all texts from one Business: reply STOP to a message from that Business.
  • Stop all texts from Loop entirely: email hello@my-loops.com from the address on file, or use our Contact form.
  • Update your number or preferences: ask the Business at your next visit, or contact us.
  • Stop emails: click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email, or visit our unsubscribe page.

8. Legal basis

Loop's SMS program is operated in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, FCC rules at 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200, applicable state mini-TCPA statutes, and CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you provide prior express written consent to receive recurring autodialed and pre-recorded messages from Loop on behalf of the Business.
